DMC 154 to J&P Coats: Thread Conversion

J&P Coats 8400 is a close match in the deep grape-purple range. This is a useful option for North American stitchers who need a dark anchor color for grape clusters or gothic floral work and have J&P Coats more readily available than DMC. Thread construction differences can affect how evenly very dark colors distribute across higher-count fabrics — stitch a test area on your project fabric to check coverage before committing. As with any deep dye, do a colorfastness soak test before washing a finished piece.
